Workforce Engagement
Located right in the Navy Yard, our Philadelphia location includes the corporate headquarters and engineers, analysts, information technology experts, and multimedia teams to support Hull, Mechanical & Engineering (HM&E) for the Navy and Army.
Working with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD), McKean Defense has technicians and project managers supporting the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and engineers, project planning experts and analysts working to manage the complicated processes and careful planning required for maintaining ship availability. We have developers creating Virtual Shelf and other software programs to integrate machinery performance data and upgrade technologies used onboard ships. Our skilled graphic designers are visualizing concepts such as accurate 3-D depictions of airflow in a submarine or engineering diagrams. We have calibration and logistics experts who support the Navy’s METBENCH Calibration Management System, improving data integrity and increased confidence in calibration readiness percentages. Our IT specialists are re-envisioning the way Cloud Computing can be an asset to the DOD by improving efficiency and increasing productivity. We have engineers and technology experts that are modernizing the Watercraft Information Reporting System (WIRS) system for the U.S. Army.
