Workforce Engagement

There is a strong Navy presence in the Tidewater area and McKean Defense proudly supports many of the different bases with over 140 engineers, technicians, and analysts in the vicinity. We have maintenance planning experts who developed a formalized process designed to meet the Expected Service Life and readiness sustainment challenges facing our Surface Force today. McKean Defense employees also support Commander Naval Regional Maintenance Centers’ (CNRMC) Workforce Development Program to professionalize the surface ship maintenance workforce. Our team’s work includes metrology and calibration support, machinery alteration supervision, and engineering support for the Fleet Forces Engineering Office. McKean Defense programmers have created Virtual Shelf initiatives to provide standardized logistics data for surface ship systems.
