(Philadelphia, PA) – McKean Defense Group, LLC today announced it won a cost plus contract to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Carderock Division. The contract supports the Research, development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) network operations in support of Code 34. The contract has a five year period of performance and is valued at over $33 million. This win represents the largest single-award contract to McKean to date.
Scope of the contract includes operation and maintenance of the RDT&E core network. Vulnerability assessments and management, NMCI support, and data analysis application development are examples of specific tasking. Work locations include NSWC’s Carderock and Philadelphia locations. McKean’s teammates include SE Solutions, Sabre Systems, and Automation Technology Inc.
“The NSWC community has been an important customer to us,” said Len Destefano, President of McKean’s Naval Engineering sector. “We are currently supporting technical codes with their engineering and enterprise challenges, but this is the first time that we will actively engage with the Code 34 community. This win validates McKean’s credentials in information technology, and in network information assurance.”
NSWC’s goal is to create and maintain a robust and secure network to support the technical RDT&E efforts of their organization. Work began in late July.
