(Philadelphia, PA) – McKean Defense Group, LLC today announced it won the recompete of an unrestricted single award cost-plus-fixed-fee task order from the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Carderock Division, Philadelphia. The task order has a one year base term with four one-year option periods, with a projected total of over $37 million if all options are exercised.
Under this recomplete, McKean will provide engineering and technical support services, information technology, program management and logistics support for Navy and Maritime vessels. Work will be executed at NSWC CD Philadelphia, and at NSWCCD Field offices including those in Virginia, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, California and Hawaii.
“McKean’s support to NWSCCD’s HM&E programs have been a cornerstone for the company,” said Joseph L. Carlini, CEO of McKean. “This was a critical recompete of one of McKean’s first unrestricted contracts. I am proud of the technical team and the management staff that was constantly focused on current customer needs and future Navy challenges.” McKean received high contractor performance assessment ratings on the predecessor five-year contract.
McKean’s team included General Dynamics, AMSEC, Alion and other industry partners who contributed to the success of the previous work. Several additional companies were included based on the increased scope and capacity. This contract is another example of McKean’s ability as a solution integrator to the Navy technical community.
