(Philadelphia, PA) – McKean Defense Group, LLC today announced it won the recompete of an unrestricted single award cost-plus-fixed-fee task order from the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Carderock Division, Philadelphia. The task order has a two year base term with three one-year option periods, with a projected total of over $40 million if all options are exercised, making this McKean’s largest win to date.
McKean will provide engineering, logistics and program management services to the NSWCCD Ship Integrity and Performance Organization, including identifying candidate coating systems for use onboard US Navy vessels, performing laboratory analytical evaluations of in-service fuels, lubricants and hydraulic fluids, providing engineer and technical support for operation, maintenance and design of sacrificial anode and Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) systems, and developing laboratory and/or shipboard test procedures to evaluate new and emerging technology. This was a recompete for the company.
