(Philadelphia, PA) – McKean Defense Group, LLC announced today that it was awarded a $29M contract to support the Machinery Research, Logistics, and Ship Integrity Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWC PD). The contract has a five-year period of performance.
The contract’s overarching focus is to provide technical, process, and programmatic support for the integration of logistic products. McKean and its team demonstrate comprehensive End-to-End modernization capabilities, and have supported this customer and similar programs for over 20 years.
Specific tasking includes program and business management support, logistics support, project/process engineering, and engineering support. “This win expands our footprint within NSWC PD Department 30,” said Joseph Carlini, Chief Executive Officer of McKean Defense. “The customer values McKean’s ability to integrate perspectives from the Fleet, SURFMEPP, and NAVSEA to support the objective of achieving the highest readiness at the lowest operational cost. This connectivity will have a direct impact on helping to increase operational availability.”
Work will be performed in Philadelphia, with support in Norfolk, VA; San Diego, CA; Marionette, WI; Kings Bay, GA; Port Hueneme CA; Corona, CA; Honolulu, HI; Bremerton, WA; Mayport, FL; Mechanicsburg, PA; Yokosuka, Japan; Manama, Bahrain; and Washington, DC.
