Who We Are

Proven Success through Continual Growth

From a certified small business in 2006, to an employee-owned company with over 600 employees, McKean Defense prides itself on customer satisfaction.

Our competencies include ship sustainment and modernization; information technologies and cyber security; and combat systems engineering, with customers spanning the Department of Defense including the Naval Sea Systems Command, the Naval Surface Warfare Centers, Fleet activities including the Surface Force and the Navy Regional Maintenance Centers, Army Watercraft Systems, and the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command. No matter which customer we are supporting, our priority is to assure affordable shipboard readiness across the Navy’s Maintenance Engineering community.

McKean Defense’s business practices reflect years of industry experience accrued by our principals and staff. We are made up of three business units: Cabrllio Technologies, Readiness & Sustainment Solutions, and Systems & Technology Solutions. Our corporate expertise includes implementation of complex contracts with multiple subcontractors using mature management practices as defined by our Business Process Management System. Our team is empowered, nimble, and enthusiastic in their approach to creating new solutions for our customers.

We are passionate about our customers. Whether the challenge is identifying and deploying new technologies to increase system availability, integrating information technology across shipboard platforms, or architecting strategies to improve support to the Warfighter; McKean engineers, analysts, and programmers create strategic solutions that help our customers reach new levels of mission support, and transform their organizations.

McKean’s vision is to be a value-added partner to our customers, and an employer of choice. Being thoughtful to both is step one, exceeding expectations is our goal.
