McKean Awarded Recompete to Support Propulsion, Power, and Diesel Engine Systems at NSWCCCD-SSES

(Philadelphia, PA) – McKean Defense Group announced today it won the recompete of a single-award contract to support Propulsion, Power and Diesel Engines Systems from the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division-Ship Systems Engineering Station (NSWC-SSES) Philadelphia Division. The contract is valued at over $6 million and supports the Propulsion and Power Engines Division of the Diesel Engine branch.

Work scope includes engineering, program and logistics support, including Shipboard Automated Maintenance Management (SAMM) support, Integrated Class Maintenance Plan (ICMP) support, Integrated Propulsion Plant Alignment Procedure (IPPAP) support, and support to the LSD Mid-Life program. Additional work includes support to the LSD 41/49, LPD 17, FFG 7, LHA(R), LHD, MCM and PC Classes. McKean will also support advanced planning of Baseline Availability Work Packages (BAWPs) and develop maintenance documents that meet new quality control standards for diesel engines.

Work on the contract will be performed at NSWCCD-SSES Division headquarters in Philadelphia, PA and at the waterfront in Norfolk, VA, and includes travel to Sasebo, Japan, Bahrain, Hawaii, and other locations as required.
