McKean Defense Group, LLC to provide engineering, logistics, and program support services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia (NSWCCD-SSES) in support of Code 61

(Philadelphia, PA) – McKean Defense Group, LLC today announced it won an unrestricted single award, cost-plus-fixed-fee task order from the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Carderock Division, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The task order has a two-year base term and three one-year option periods, and a total value of over $20 million if all options are exercised. McKean will provide engineering, logistics, and program management services in support of NSWCCD-SSES Code 61 Materials LCM/ISE Group, including identifying candidate coating systems for use onboard U.S. Navy vessels, performing laboratory analytical evaluations of in-service fuels, lubricants and hydraulic fluids, providing engineering and technical support for the operation, maintenance, and design of sacrificial anode and Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) systems, and Providing materials engineering technical support for the evaluation of system and component failures resulting from the improper selection or improper use of materials.
